Rahel Hoernliman, owner of the school English for Life in Schaffhausen has found her passion in teaching the English language by educating children, youngsters and adults in her school. It is her ambition not only to impart grammar and language structures through her teaching, but also to create a cheerful and comfortable atmosphere while focusing especially on communication.

During the years in which Rahel Hoernlimann lived in England she had plenty of time to emerge into the English language and its interesting culture.

After her return she studied and passed the Advanced Cambridge Exam in 2003 successfully.

To enhance the quality of her teaching she attended a functional training course with the focus on teaching English for Children, and in 2006 she also passed the Cambridge Exam of Proficiency successfully.

While already teaching at her newly founded school, she then attended the professional education of the state school primary teachers at the Pädagogischen Hochschule in Schaffhausen and studied the modules Teaching English and Didactics of Foreign Languages.

For several years Rahel Hoernlimann has not only continuously taught different levels of English at her school but was also involved in the Freizeitschule Schaffhausen. By providing courses at a reduced fee, lots of children were enabled to take part in educational English lessons with the aim to improve the use of the English language, again with a special focus on communication.

Furthermore, for over 3 years (2010) Rahel Hoernlimann taught at the Schule für Weiterbildung of the Kaufmännischen Verein Schaffhausen and since January 2015 she has beeen employed at the subsidiary of an international company in Schaffhausen and is teaching classes in Business English.
